Description The Head of Workplace Solutions Strategic Finance will work with management of both Workplace Solutions and CFO to provide high quality information to facilitate decision-making. The incumbent will report to the Head of Strategic Finance Business Partners, who reports to the CFO. As the senior corporate finance executive working regularly with the senior management team of Workplace Solutions, this role is responsible for leading the Workplace Solutions Corporate Finance team in: - Working with the Head of WPS to develop and lead a multiyear financial strategy. This includes working with pricing and increasing visibility into direct and indirect costs, in order to drive costs to competitive levels. - Preparing high quality analysis to influence key financial decisions, including developing and employing analytical models. - Working with the WPS leadership team on the development and pursuit of strategic plans, and short-term and long-term management goals and objectives. - Actively contributing to and at times leading financial projects/initiatives. Being a respected partner in the development and execution of strategies and initiatives to achieve Transformation goals, including active, ongoing involvement in pursuing the revenue enhancement and efficiency goals. - Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business and corporate leaders. - Strong knowledge of products, markets, competitors, key industry metrics. - Identifying and monitoring key performance drivers and risks, communicating trends and observations in real time. - Making available primarily and/or through dashboards high quality information to facilitate key financial decisions, working with FP & A, Controllers, Corporate Strategy, Actuarial and others. This includes analyzing variances and developing the channel financial performance story. - Contributing to and reviewing driver-based forecasts of P & L elements and earnings for reasonableness. - Ensuring that a holistic corporate and business finance perspective informs all finance information and recommendations - Communicating complex information and analysis in clear, understandable terms with appropriate context, focused on actionable content. - Leadership Responsibilities: - Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key business and corporate leaders. - Communicating complex information and analysis in clear, understandable terms with appropriate context, focused on actionable content. - Inspire, lead and execute on CFO 2020 finance transformation, including data-driven financial analysis, automatedreporting, advanced analytics; developing staff and successors for key roles. Also, work to influence the culture, promoting self-service, collaboration, benchmarking and disciplined cost-benefit analyses - Create an environment that fosters a culture of empowerment and collaboration. - Attract, retain, and develop top-tier diverse talent. REPORTING STRUCTURE: Reports to Head of Strategic Finance Business Partners, who reports to the CFO. Also has a dotted line reporting relationship to the Head of Workplace Solutions. QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: - Experience leading and developing high caliber teams - Required: Extensive (15+ years) experience in a sophisticated environment working on financial matters relating to retirement plans and defined contributions products - Deep knowledge of applicable U.S. GAAP and statutory financial reporting requirements - Exceptional relationship building and influencing skills - Experience with worksite life insurance and disability products - Excellent communication skills, including the ability to convey complex information in readily understandable terms. - Demonstrated experience with creative problem-solving - Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple deliverables - Ability to travel between Boston and Springfield at least one to two days/week - Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now or in the future Why Join Us.
