Assigned task will require a mixture of data entry, technical, and analytical skills. This position will work in a cross functional team environment and have the ability to collaborate effectively with various MGM Springfield operating departments to implement and maintain business solutions. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Complete daily department tasks; audit daily work for integrity and resolve any discrepancies and report them to management.
  • Perform lottery Audit and run Product Mix by Outlet Report in Cognos and reconcile to daily special reports from lottery machine.
  • Perform Comp Inquiry Audit to review inquiries, research, follow up, make corrections if necessary
  • Create Over/Short Trending Report for operating departments, to identify and research trends and variances. Work with department leaders for corrections/explanations.
  • Assist with maintaining records and ensure accurate miscellaneous billing issued at property
  • Run Product Mix Outlet Report in Cognos and reconcile to daily special reports from lottery machine.
  • Review property Daily Activity Report to identify assist with removing terminated employees access from the Recycler Machines and State of Massachusetts DOR website.
  • Assist operating departments with employee access and password resets to the DOR website. Provide department leaders with access information for their departments once log in credentials received from DOR.
  • Perform Aging Review to identify invoices not yet received or not yet paid and review status
  • Create PO/Requisitions in COUPA if needed.
  • Assist Manager of Casino Finance with various audits.
  • Review and prepare checks for deposit that the property received for payments, events/sales, or etc.,
  • Participate in projects for systems implementations and/or process related improvements
  • Support an effective relationship amongst the Finance Shared Services Center.
  • Ensure accounting records and practices adhere to MGM Springfield accounting policies and remain standard across all business units.
  • Perform other job related duties as requestedSUPERVISION:N/AMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
    • At least one (1) year of related experience.
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral formsPREFERRED:
      • Associates or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or equivalent.
      • Previous experience with MGM Resorts International financial systems (Infinium, Cognos Finance, Cognos Bi, InfoGenesis,).Bilingual, English as the primary or secondary language
      • Previous experience working in a similar resort settingCERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
        • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
        • Massachusetts Gaming License, if requiredKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
          • Knowledge of excel including formatting, calculations/functions preferred
          • Must possess ability to prioritize conflicting duties and maintain timeline integrity for projects and tasks.
          • Strong team player that has a direct approach and is solution oriented.
          • Highly developed organizational skills to function effectively while still maintaining attention to detail and meeting established deadlines.
          • Professional appearance and demeanor.
          • Knowledge of Infinium and finance software preferred
          • Works in a conscientious, consistent and thorough manner
          • Identifies main concepts and ideas when reading simple, straightforward documents
          • Reviews own work for accuracy and completeness, spotting inconsistencies or discrepancies that indicate problems with quality of work
          • Pays close attention to details that are important to others to make sure they are right.
          • Interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
          • Ability to effectively communicate in English, in both oral and written forms
          • Demonstrates a clear service-minded focus when making decisions
          • Analyzes and understands information to develop logical solutions to issues
          • Flexibility and ability to work within a fast growth environment with changing priorities
          • Logically sets completion priorities for various tasksWORKING CONDITIONS:
            • Regular scheduled hours: Various days and various hours
            • Work varied shifts, including evening, weekends, and holidays
            • Schedule requires working in accordance to entertainment events which may include working long or irregular hours and weekends
            • Ability to bend and reach into cabinets to file document, lift and move boxes weighing up to 20 pounds to load computer paper as well as the storage, retrieval and transportation of documents
            • Operate business equipment such as telephone, photo copier, fax, 10 key and personal computers
            • Possess the manual dexterity to access a computer via keyboard and be seated before a computer monitor for extended periods of time
