What the day will look like Showcase your creativity by providing alternative options and/or design risk transfer and financing products for presentation. Extract auto liability, product liability and general liability data from data warehouse and implement your proficiency in data analysis using MS Excel, PowerBI and other software tools to build reports and analyze outputs to support renewal of domestic and global insurance programs. Handle compliance with state regulations for workers compensation in self-insured and monopolistic states and coordinate audits. Keep responsibilities tidy by ensuring complete and sound claim settlements, conducting coverage reviews in conjunction with the legal team, and carrying out investigations in accordance. We know that loss mitigation is the name of the game. Thrive by maintaining an updated list of key claims contacts, administering claims protocols, coordinating and communicating loss cause, frequency and severity to the Risk Management team. Dabble in Mergers & Acquisitions while assisting with due diligence reviews.
The collaboration partners
As an integral member of the team, the reporting line is into the Director of Insurance & Risk Management and coordination with colleagues in the legal group. We will help expand your network through this role while engaging with clients, brokers and carriers as well as the safety department.
Where time will be focused
Claims Management - Loss mitigation and communication with internal partners. Tracking of open claims to ensure timely closure, status awareness for ongoing open claims, specifically litigated claims, and reconciliation of self-insured retention.
Contract Management - Draft, review and diligent negotiation of contracts to attain achievable risk levels. Review of supplier terms and conditions and recommendation of innovative ways to deal with contract requirements. Review of third party insurance proof certificates and verification of compliance with agreed-upon contractual terms. Maintenance of contracts database, including development of standard contract language, applying a tiered system based on relationship with counter party.
Program Processes and Procedures - Collection and management of current and historical exposure information and preparation of annual underwriting submissions on a timely basis for all risk financing/insurance programs. Analysis loss review at the location, business unit, and corporate levels to identify trends and drafting of insurance and risk management budget and cost of risk allocation wile evaluating risk financing alternatives, adequacy of limits and make recommendations.
Communication - Development and ongoing maintenance of communication tools for senior management and operating personnel describing risk management policies and programs. Updating of the annual Risk Management Policy Digest and Insurance Coverage Summary and other pertinent documentation, as required. Expertise in policy and coverage interpretation to operating company personnel.
Experience to be successful
Shine in this role with a minimum of three years within a risk management environment, insurance company or brokerage experience handling national or global accounts. Past experience handling claims, particularly TPA work, will be excellent.

An eye for detail and a penchant for working with numbers and Windows-based tools (MS Word, Excel, Access and Lotus Notes) will be vital, as well as an openness to use various online claims data systems. With good time balancing skills and prioritization of a variety of tasks, we will make sure that you enjoy this role!
A college degree with major in finance, accounting or risk management is required. CRM, ARM designation or CPCU course-work will be beneficial.
