Job Description:
Job Description Step into an instrumental role. Help conduct the
smooth operation of a fast-paced---and friendly---financial
planning office. Work as a member of an independent advisor
franchisee team with a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise
Financial. You will assist in daily business operations and
contribute to the success of the team. Assist financial advisor(s)
and associate financial advisor(s) in managing and organizing
office workflow with an emphasis on creating and delivering a
unique client experience that defines and differentiates the
practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of
business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory
requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work
activities. Responsibilities and Time Allocation --- Will change
over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other
duties as assigned by the advisor. Responsibilities Greet clients
upon arrival Schedule and confirm client appointments Answer
incoming calls and emails, document accordingly Process incoming
mail and checks; document in mail/funds log Assist with the
preparation of client information using MS Word, MS Excel, and MS
PowerPoint. Review Advisor---s meeting notes and follow up to
complete tasks Prepare and submit new business applications for
various investment strategies; follow up to ensure funding
requirements are met -- Resolve issues with the corporate office
regarding client accounts and transactions -- Assist with planning
marketing events -- Comply with and learn all Ameriprise Financial
procedures and policies Key Traits for this position: Strong

clear phone manner Ability to multi-task Ability to adhere to rules
and regulations as stated and required by advisor and Ameriprise
Positive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and
grow Required Qualifications Associates degree 1 -3 years customer
service experience required (Financial services experience
preferred) Ability to function in a fast paced environment and
maintain operational quality, confidentiality and demonstrated
professionalism. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact
effectively with clients during phone calls, emails or in person.
Effective written and oral communication skills, strong client
service orientation. Ability to handle multiple priorities, strong
attention to detail. Proficient with standard software(MS Word,
Excel, Power Point, Sales Force) and office equipment, and ability
to adapt to new technology. Because Ameriprise Financial is
obligated to comply with a number of laws and regulations that
require the firm to obtain fingerprints and conduct background
screening of registered persons (FINRA Rule 1010) and those who
have access to customer information (Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act of
1999), Ameriprise Financial requires you to be fingerprinted within
ten (10) working days of your association with the firm. During the
onboarding process, fingerprints are obtained and submitted through
a national database maintained by the Department of Justice.
