We focus on professional development and continuous improvement while enjoying a casual work environment and Great Place to Work culture!The purpose of the Director, Analytics Model Validation and Reporting position is to perform ongoing assessment of the model risk management framework with respect to regulatory guidelines and expectations; perform comprehensive reviews and ongoing assessments of statistical models. Outcomes and Activities:

  • Perform Model Risk analysis:
    • Asses the conceptual soundness of the models
    • Evaluate the model assumptions and assess the model theory
    • Identify, examine, and quantify model limitations highlighting the impact of potential deficiencies and weaknesses
    • Assess the input parameters
      • Perform model validation and model risk governance
      • Review model implementations
      • Create monitoring for the implemented models
      • Assist with Internal/External Audits summarized descriptions of the models, validation results and additional supporting documentation Knowledge and Skills:
        • Have knowledge of modeling tools and methods
        • Act promptly and effectively when assigned tasks
        • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
        • Work well with others in a team environment
        • Be proactive and make recommendations as opportunities arise
        • Self-motivated and able to perform with minimal supervision Requirements:
          • Bachelor's degree or higher
          • A minimum of 5 years working experience in a quantitative environment
          • Extensive practice (5 years+) in model development and validation
          • Experience with SAS and SQL
          • Experience in technical writing with respect to modeling and auditing Preferred:
            • Experience in the consumer lending industry, with some preference given to automobile finance experienceTargeted Compensation: $172, 900 - $201, 700 This position is not currently open to individuals who require sponsorship now or in the future to work legally for Credit Acceptance, such as H-1b / H-4 or F-1 OPT visa holders.
