Position Summary: The Equipment Operator is responsible for the
safe and efficient operation of assigned equipment, ensuring
compliance with company safety policies and procedures and
performing routine maintenance. Responsibilities: Comply with (and
actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures, including
reporting all accidents, incidents, and near misses to ensure
adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in
everything we do. Complete equipment condition reports and daily
checklists for assigned equipment, providing updates to the Project
Superintendent daily. Perform regular cleaning of machines,
including daily sweeping of cabs, trash removal, weekly interior
cleaning, and bi-weekly lubrication of doors and windows.
Understand and follow all Company safety policies and procedures,
ensuring the safety of both yourself and those working in your
vicinity. Monitor and report equipment fuel levels to the
Superintendent or Foreman daily to ensure timely refueling. Note
any needed supplies or issues with the equipment, such as grease,
oil, rags, cleaning supplies, or the need for steam cleaning, and
inform the Superintendent. Qualifications: 3-5 years of experience
operating equipment in Heavy/Civil Construction. OSHA 10
certification. Necessary Attributes: Adaptability to different
personalities and management styles. Strong interpersonal and
verbal communication skills. Ability to rely on experience and
judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Dedication and hard work
with a strong commitment to team success. Strong work ethic,
professionalism, and attention to quality in all tasks performed.
