Job Description:
The Collaborative for Educational Services (CES) is seeking
engaging, bilingual instructors to teach online English classes to
Out of School Youth enrolled in the Massachusetts Migrant Education
program. Instructors will use the curriculum provided to teach
90-120 minute classes to small groups of students in the evenings
and/or on the weekends. Google Meet and Google Classroom will be
used to teach classes. Instructors are expected to communicate with
students directly with class updates and attendance concerns but
should contact the Academic Programs Manager if students are
unresponsive or any other issues arise. Classes run between October
and May. Candidates who can commit to the full time period are
preferred.

This is you:
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Has experience teaching multilingual learners
Has experience teaching online
Available in the evenings and/or on weekends
Available 4-10 hours/week between October and May
Essential Functions:
Use Google Meet and Google Classroom to teach online English
classes
Create and maintain a positive and fun environment that is engaging
and enjoyable
Support the advancement of your students' English language
proficiency
Adapt the daily plan to accommodate your students' abilities and
needs
Document attendance and follow up on attendance concerns
Communicate directly with students, usually via Whatsapp
Communicate regularly with the Academic Programs Manager
Minimum Qualifications*:
Ability to communicate in English and Spanish
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
One year of teaching experience, in an informal or formal
setting
Ability to travel in-state for meetings, workshops and
conferences
Will pass a CORI (Criminal Offender Record Information)
screening

Compensation Range: $25-30/hr depending on qualifications, plus
mileage reimbursement
Terms of Employment: This position is 4-10 hours a week of online
English instruction between October and May
Working Conditions: Employees' risk of exposure to an infectious
disease including COVID may be higher in congregate care settings
or residential settings where there is a dense population and or
patients receiving health care and treatment. Further, home visits
may pose a risk to an employee and safety protocols to minimize
risk should be followed with care. CES employees must follow CES
policies and comply with their work location specific guidelines.
