Job Description:
We seek a dynamic individual, with an established track record for
high-quality curricular development at the university level who is
interested in preparing students to meet the challenges facing the
future in Psychology & Clinical Mental Health. The Director will
lead the programs at the graduate level and will work with faculty
to design, build and nurture the programs' offerings developing an
approach to learning that prepares graduates to meet the
present-day workplace needs. The successful candidate will
demonstrate the ability to use creative and innovative approaches
towards academic program development. In coordination with the Dean
of the School of Health Sciences, the program director shall have
the authority, accountability and responsibility that come with
academic and administrative oversight of all aspects of the
Psychology and Clinical Mental Health program.
The Director will have a Doctoral degree in Psychology, Clinical
Psychology, Counseling Psychology or related field, and have
experience as a practitioner in the field of Psychology and
Clinical Mental Health and have a strong academic background in
higher education. The ideal candidate will also have experience in
professional leadership, health science and information technology.
Experience in teaching in a distance and/or blended format is
required.
This position is a twelve-month, non-tenure year position,
reporting directly to the Dean of the School of Health Sciences.
The Director will carry a course load of 24 credits with an annual
course release of six credits through the University and will
demonstrate the ability to creatively engage students in didactic
and experiential learning opportunities in the on-line environment,
and collaborate with other graduate and undergraduate program
leaders, Dean of the School of Health Sciences, and other faculty
members/staff of the university.
The scholar selected for this position will join a collaborative
and dedicated School that emphasizes excellence in education at all
levels. This person will be involved in expanding program
offerings; grow enrollment; lead school partnerships and
significant new innovative initiatives. The director will
participate in curriculum and programmatic development and
innovation at both the graduate and undergraduate level; advise
students; participate actively in local, state, and national
professional organizations; and contribute to the service mission
of the University and the School.

Psychology & Clinical Mental Health program exists within the Bay
Path University School of Health Sciences, and, as such,

graduate academic education.
This full-time Faculty-Program Director position reports to the
Dean of the School Health Sciences and is responsible for
directing, implementing, evaluating all aspects of the graduate
psychology programs including faculty development, student
advising, student achievement, curriculum development and
evaluation. This position is responsible for teaching graduate
level courses in the Developmental Psychology and Clinical Mental
Health Counseling programs, additionally overseeing the
coordination of internship placements, grant opportunities, and
assisting with ongoing programmatic activities such as
orientations, open houses, webinars, and other activities as
requested by the Dean of the SHS.
The director of this program will engage in ongoing outreach and
contact with colleges, schools, agencies/organizations to
continually connect with communities to build partnership and/or
programs.
