Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required. A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available in Albany, OR, for the 20242026 academic cycle, with a contract ending June 5, 2026. This role is onsite and supports K-12 students with diverse learning needs. There are six openings across various specialized classrooms, each with a dedicated team to foster student growth and achievement. Positions include: Elementary Developmental (two openings): Supporting 15 students with behavioral, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), and communication needs, alongside six assistants. Elementary Behavior: Serving grades 3-5, with 16 students and five assistants. Middle School Resource: Supporting approximately 40 students with two shared assistants. Elementary Resource: Working across two sites, two miles apart, supporting 35 students with one assistant in each building. Middle School Behavior: Managing a classroom of 15 students with five assistants. Responsibilities: Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual IEP goals. Collaborate with assistants and multidisciplinary teams to implement behavior and communication plans. Monitor student progress and maintain clear, timely documentation. Engage with families and school staff to promote a supportive learning environment. Qualifications: Active Special Education certification/license in Oregon. Experience working with students exhibiting behavioral challenges and communication needs is preferred. Must provide current supervisor contact information for reference checks.
