Behavior Therapist / ABA Behavior TechnicianSpringfield, MA**Tuition Assistance Available**Butterfly Effects is hiring Behavior Technicians to join our growing team! Behavior Technicians assist Behavior Analysts to implement behavior reduction and skill acquisition treatment plans for children and families affected by autism spectrum disorder. Behavior Technicians assist clients with day to day activities, monitor their behavior, record and collect data on patients' progress, and communicate with clients. We service clients between the ages of 18 months and 18 years of age, and therapy is typically delivered in 2-3 hour sessions 2-5 times per week.The ideal candidate is someone very outgoing, bubbly, friendly and motivated by making a difference for children and families adjusting to life on the Autism spectrum.   • High School diploma
  • Driver's license & personal vehicle
  • CPR certification (Must be obtained through American Heart Association or Red Cross, and completed in a fully in-person or hybrid online/classroom setting.)
  • Background check
  • Personal laptop or tablet w/ webcamPAY:
    • $18-$23 per hour (no RBT certification)
    • $22-$25 per hour (RBT certification)
    • Minimum wage during mentor trainingSCHEDULE:Typical work week for our Behavior Therapists consists of:
      • Part time, Monday - Friday
      • Potential transition to fulltime employment
      • Flexible hours, morning or afternoon
      • 30+ hours per week
      • Number of hours per week depend on the needs of the child.
      • Time of day depends on the family's schedule morning, daytime or after school.BENEFITS:

            • Financial support for graduate training is offered on a semester-by-semester basis and is subject to approval by the President, specific markets, enrollment caps, and the allocation of funds by management. Individuals who wish to be considered must meet the following criteria prior to the start of each semester:
              • A BT or RBT with 20+ direct treatment hours per week.
              • Maintain availability for all scheduling blocks during the work week.
              • Must have averaged 20+ billable hours per week over the last 12 weeks.
              • Received an overall rating of 4 or better on most recent performance evaluation.
              • Not placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) within the past year.
              • Must be nominated by the BT/RBT's BCBA and Regional Director.
              • Must have a bachelor's degree.
              • Graduate program approval by BE's President prior to enrollment.
              • Sign a promissory to maintain employment with the company for 6-months following the distribution of funds each semester.
              • Must be actively seeking a BACB certification in a program with BACB verified coursework.
              • Must receive their BCBA supervision by a Butterfly Effects BCBA.
              • Graduate Assistance Benefit:
                • Butterfly Effects shall reimburse $500 per semester of tuition expenses associated with obtaining a graduate degree in a company approved University program.
                • Graduate assistance is capped to $1,000 per year for staff.
                • Staff are eligible for three (3) years of student loan repayment of $1,500 per year.
                • Eligibility Criteria:
                  i. Graduate with a Masters Degree
                  ii. Earn a BACB Certificate
                  iii. Must be a full-time employee of BE
                  iv. Sign a 1-year employment commitment following distribution of funds each year
                • Butterfly Effects/Endicott College Partnership
                  • 15% tuition discount to attend Endicott College's M.S. in ABA or BCBA course sequence for active Butterfly Effects Behavior Technicians.
                    • Graduate tuition assistance of up to $500 per semester limited to $1,000 per year for active Butterfly Effects Behavior Technicians.
                    • 3- year student loan repayment of up to $1,500 per year while working as a BCBA for Butterfly Effects.

The Behavior Therapist is part of a collaborative team that includes the child's family and the supervising clinician. The BT works on such goals as functional communication, socializing with peers, and sharing with others. Butterfly Effects' BTs receive training to make a meaningful change in the life of a child and their family.
