Job Description Seeking a US Veteran, National Guardsman, Reservist, and/or Military Spouse to apply for as a Diesel Mechanic on Heavy Equipment. Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair failures, including electrical, diesel engines, hydraulic and pneumatic. Service and maintain machinery in the field or shop. Job requires 1 to 5 years of experience, mechanical knowledge to repair and maintain a variety of diesel equipment (such as construction, forestry or mining machinery), plus a complete set of tools. Awesome Benefits, and great pay based on experience Responsibilities : Veteran Military Apply your knowledge and certifications as an expert in heavy equipment maintenance. Repair equipment in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner whether in the field or shop. Troubleshoot electrical, engine, transmission, brakes, steering, frame, cab and hydraulic systems. Read diagrams, service manuals, service bulletins, and web-based trouble-shooting tools. Report on problems and estimate time and parts required to repair unit/equipment. Order new parts and follow up with parts department on backorders. Perform routine maintenance checks and adjustments (fluid levels, hoses, belts, brakes, tires, and clutches); change filters and oil. Weld as needed. Submit paperwork: daily notes, timecards, tech-line reports, expense reports and warranty parts. Maintain service truck by filling out daily inspection reports and utilizing ELD. Attend meetings, seminars, and schools to increase knowledge.
