Company AeroBond Composites, LLC is a division of WHI Global, LLC, a vertically integrated manufacturer of precision components, composite structures and assemblies for the aerospace and defense markets. With industry-leading closed-die forging, composite fabrication, 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC machining, assembly and NADCAP heat treat / NDT capabilities, WHI serves a global customer base. WHI's operating history dates back to 1951 with over 250,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing footprint that includes four ITAR registered facilities carrying AS9100 Rev. D and ISO 9001 certifications. Job Description The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for various engineering duties at the Springfield Composites division. Typical responsibilities will include designing tools, writing procedures, preparing estimates for new business, controlling workflow, and acting as Project Lead where required. The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will report to the Director of Engineering & Quality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - MANUFACTURING ENGINEER Read and fully understand engineering drawings Create and red-line procedures and travelers Design tools as needed Provide management with accurate, well organized Basis of Estimates including cost of all parts and raw materials, internal labor, outside processes and Tool Design & Fabrication. Provide technical assistance while managing the manufacturing process Lead efforts associated with product introduction Assist with and/or lead Facility Layouts CANDIDATE ATTRIBUTES/SKILLS SOUGHT Proficient with CATIA, SolidWorks, other CAD/CAM systems Solid understanding of basic material science of composite materials along with the fabrication and assembly of composite components and metal to metal bonding processes Full understanding of all quality requirements including AS9100 and NADCAP Basic knowledge of EPICOR or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and databases Knowledge of shop floor control and ability to design, build, and support a modern control system with visual and digital controls Full knowledge of continuous improvement, such as green or black belt Good verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel, Word, & PowerPoint) EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or similar, Master's degree preferred MUST have experience working with compositesJob Type: Full-timePay: $85,000.00 - $125,000.00 per yearBenefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insuranceSchedule: Monday to FridayWork Location: One location
