The Head of Platform Engineering and Operationsis a leadership role that will directly manage a global team of highly skilled Server, Database, Storage, and Backup engineering and operations teams. This leader will tackle the toughest infrastructure technical problems and will drive operational excellence at all levels.They must have strong technical understanding of Data Center technologies and be able to drive technical currency projects leading to a resilient, scalable, and reliable platform.The leader should be able to build relationships with senior management as well as a diverse set of internal stakeholders and key external vendors, while managing expectations and guiding team members towards continuous improvement.The ideal candidate is an accomplished, high energy, senior leader who has a proven track record of working collaboratively and independently to help a world class organization sustain its success.The preferred candidate will be recognized in the industry as someone who can execute and innovate.KEY ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Define and lead the technology strategy for our Data Center technology in alignment and support of key strategic goals across Enterprise Technology.
• Manages 24x7 365 operational aspect of production and development infrastructure including developing, training in, and validating compliance with controls and procedures.
• Evaluate technology choices (Sever, Database, Storage, and Backup) by querying providers and providing evaluations of each solution including ROI evaluations in the present and future implications, limitations, and opportunities
• Identify opportunities to drive automation and innovation across the Data Center landscape and implement tools and highly efficient processes to achieve objectives
• Build a strong vulnerability mitigation model that spans across of infrastructure platform technologies.
• Provide Supplier Relationship Management leadership and oversight to key IT suppliers.This includes both traditional vendor purchases as well as SaaS providers.
• Establish operationalizing key processes and setting SLAs with clear roles and accountability
• Work with senior leadership to identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement and publish the associated delivery roadmap. Generate, plan, and deliver improvements and enhancements per plan and within budget
• Provide efficient & effective production support while identifying & implementing optimization and automation opportunities.
• Manage the development of financial and resource planning needed to achieve department business objectives.
• Manage available resources at multi-departmental level.
• Mentor and/or direct less experienced managers and employees.QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 10+ years of experience in technology leadership
  • 6+ years of experience developing and leading large, global, high-performing, diverse teams
    • Proven track record of leading large scale cross functional initiatives
    • Demonstrated knowledge of strategic Data Center technologies; Operating System (Windows, Linux, legacy Unix), Database (MSSQL, DB2, MongoDB, etc), Backup (Veritas, Cohesity)
    • Experience in the operation of a Data Center or Colocation Data Center facility.
    • Strong executive presence and experience working across organizational boundaries, forming alliances with other leaders and Executives
    • Experience in managing Vendors/Suppliers
    • Demonstrated experience in driving innovation, automation and change leadership
    • Organized and detail-oriented, multi-task various responsibilities
    • Excellent relationship building, influencing and communication skills
    • Ability to think critically and demonstrate sound judgment
    • Ability to work well across multiple priorities multiple deliverables
    • Experience with technology platforms supporting financial institutions preferred
