Responsibilities
This is a contingent position based upon customer approval and funding. -
As a SkyePoint employee you will be given the opportunity to design, configure, and deploy some of the IT industry's latest products and services to ensure that our most critical customers maintain the ability to securely communicate and collaborate to meet mission demands. -In your new role you will share and partner with other like-minded, dedicated professionals to review your thoughts and ideas to improve upon and deploy new enterprise IT infrastructures and configurations. You will utilize not only your existing enterprise IT skills and talents to meet your customer's needs, but also draw upon those new skills that you will learn in your new role. What can you achieve and how you will make a difference:
The candidate will support the Department of State through hands on engagements including working within the Active Directory environment, troubleshooting, development of architecture and translation business needs into proposed solutions. Our Active Directory Engineer will serve as a subject matter expert guiding customers and teams to identify and address mission critical needs and support strategic objectives.
Qualifications
The Talent You Bring with these Qualifications -

• 
  
• Experience and confidence to be the subject matter expert (SME) Senior Active Directory System Engineer in a large AD environment with the proven ability to coordinate technical efforts and resolve issues across multiple teams.
  
• Strong working knowledge of Windows 2016 and 2019 Member Servers and Domain Controller operating systems platforms, DNS, networks, DMZs, network security zones
  
• Advanced PowerShell scripting experience and capabilities
  
• Expert knowledge of ADDS, ADFS, Azure AD and Windows Server Operating Systems 2016 & up.
  
• Experience working on on-prem and cloud platforms
  
• Extensive and deep knowledge of advanced PowerShell scripting, Group Policy Objects (GPO) experience, Group Policy precedence order and scope of management, WMI filters, Group Policy Preferences, group-based GPO filtering,
  
• Excellent writing and communication skills, including proven experience effectively communicating technical challenges and solutions to peers, customers, and senior management
  
• A Strong understanding of DNS Management
  
• Strong understanding and practical experience using Group Policy for server management
  
• Active Interim Secret Security Clearance or higher
  
  Preferred Qualifications:

  • Top Secret Security Clearance
    
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 8+ years of recent system engineering experience. Additional training and experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
    
  • Microsoft MSCE certification (Desired)
    
  • Alternative scripting/programming skills (JSON, C#, VBscript, Javascript, Python, Perl)
    
  • Experience working in Azure environment
    
  • Microsoft and/or networking certifications.
    
  • Working knowledge of Certificate/CA/PKI infrastructure
    
  • Working knowledge of LDAP and ability to comfortably construct queries
    
  • Ability to apply ITIL v3 Foundation concepts within the workplace.
    
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
    
  • Strong writing skills.
    
    Applicants selected for this position will require an active Interim Secretclearance, and background screening. Applicants selected for this position will be put in for a Top Secret security clearance will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirement for access to classified information.
