Job Summary: The Shop Mechanic will play a vital role in ensuring the proper maintenance, repair, and functionality of a fleet of trucks and trailers. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Essential Functions: 1. Focused. Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs of company vehicles and trailers.2. Protect family and friends. Conduct thorough inspections to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.3. Utilize diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.4. Results matter. Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance activities.5. Respect and engage. Collaborate with operators and other team members to identify recurring issues and propose solutions to improve performance.6. Safety always wins. Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).7. Committed to serve. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment within the shop.8. Obligated. Order parts and supplies as needed, ensuring timely availability for repairs.9. Mastery. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, advancements, and best practices to enhance repair techniques and equipment knowledge. Requirements, Education and Experience:1. High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in diesel mechanics, automotive repair, or related fields preferred.2. Minimum of 3 years of experience as a mechanic working with a fleet of trucks and trailers, preferred.3. Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.4. Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools.5. Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.6. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.7. Effective communication and teamwork abilities.8. Valid driver's license.9.
