development How do you excel in this position The Building
Automation Technician II is responsible for troubleshooting,
analyzing, testing, adjusting, and repairing building automation
systems, support owner/user training in commercial facilities. We
are looking for an individual that can demonstrate an aptitude for
problem solving, time management, and balancing competing
priorities while keeping customer satisfaction and business impact
in mind. What are we looking for: Associate degree in Mechanical
Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Information
Technology required. Bachelor's degree preferred. At least seven
(7) years' experience with mechanical and/or electrical engineering
systems. Demonstrated knowledge of construction or HVAC industry,
control theory, automatic temperature controls, fire alarms,
building automation systems and other building subsystems.
Demonstrated experience in the integration of low voltage building
sub-systems using various industry protocols (i.e. LON, BacNet,
etc). Knowledge of HVAC&R theory, solid mechanical, electrical
troubleshooting and repair skills a plus. Must have or be able to
obtain 10-hour OSHA certification. 30-hour OSHA is a plus. Be
highly motivated and an independent thinker. Ability to mentor
level I Integration Specialists. Must be able to thrive in a fast
pace setting and adapt/be flexible in a changing environment.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines
required. Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and
working proficiency with handheld devices, such as Smartphones,
iPads, etc. Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers
regarding inspection and service findings is required. Valid
driver's license. Travel required. Must be able to travel to job
sites 100% of the time. Also included is travel to manufacturers
