seeking an Optical Assembly & Potting Tech II, in support of the
Global ISR Sensors and Software business. Tests and inspects
optical components and systems using a variety of electro-optical,
metrology, and inspection tools and software. This person will
liaise with other departments where appropriate to ensure the
Optical Assembly meets the required demands. This position will be
located ONSITE at our Westford, MA facility. What You Will Do /n -
Tests and inspects optical components and systems using a variety
of electro-optical, metrology, and inspection tools and software.
/n - Performs intricate/complex assembly and potting of optical
components within specified tolerances. /n - Interprets blueprints,
work orders, engineering plans, specifications, reference planes,
designs sketches and geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T)
for operation, material, and dimensional requirements /n - Pulls
kits from holding rack in production order /n - Performs various
optical potting operations such as coating elements,
stacking/assembly of optics, alignments, grinding, cleaning, or
applying adhesives /n - Uses machine and hand tools to perform
operations /n - Sets up and monitor chambers /n - Conducts various
quality inspections such as pressure testing or pull testing to
ensure compliance with specifications /n /n Qualifications You Must
Have /n - Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent, e.g. G.E.D.
in the US) or vocational/technical education in related discipline
with minimum of 1 year of relevant experience /n - Due to programs
and projects this position supports, U.S. citizenship is required,
as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance /n -
SAP experience /n - Experience working with Electro-Optical
assemblies used in surveillance and reconnaissance systems /n /n
Qualifications We Prefer /n - Optics/mechanical/electro-optical
experience. /n - Clean room experience. /n - Good dexterity skills
required due to delicate handling of precision optical components.
/n - Follow oral and written instructions and have overall good
communication skills. /n - Familiar with Excel, Word, Access and
PowerPoint. /n - Must be able to work independently within a team
environment /n - Shift flexibility is critical /n - Team-oriented -
actively participates and steps in for other commodities as needed.
