US Foods, a leader in the foodservice distribution industry, is seeking a highly skilled Diesel Technician to maintain and repair the diesel engines that power our delivery trucks, ensuring our fleet is operating efficiently to serve hundreds of thousands of businesses across the country. This role is essential for the timely and safe delivery of food products, directly impacting our commitment to customer satisfaction and operational success. Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs on diesel engines and vehicle components Diagnose malfunctions using electronic testing equipment Keep accurate records of services and repairs Follow company protocols for safety and environmental standards Stay updated on regulatory and industry changes impacting vehicle operations Maintain a clean and safe work environment Assist in training junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices an asset Proficiency with diagnostic software and tools Strong problem-solving skills Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Excellent time management and the ability to handle emergency situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred ASE Diesel Certification strongly preferred Additional certifications in vehicle electrical systems or air conditioning systems beneficial
