Job Description LOOKING FOR DYNAMIC GENERAL MANAGER FOR LIFESTYLE BOUTIQUE HOTEL --- LIFE HOUSE BERKSHIRES Our property in Lenox, MA is looking for one General Manager to join our strong team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and reliable. THE COMPANY Life House is a collection of locally-rooted hotels for discerning travelers. We create beautiful, comfortable spaces with authentic narratives to encourage more meaningful and more frequent travel. We are looking for a dynamic General Manager to join our team https://www.lifehousehotels.com GENERAL MANAGER The General Manager is responsible for all aspects of the hotel operation, including the overall guest experience, front office, housekeeping, maintenance, and all hotel operations. This role requires strong leadership and a genuine desire to meet the demands of a design-led and tech-forward hotel environment. If you are interested in playing a critical role at a fast-growing tech-enabled hospitality company, this role is for you Responsibilities Include --- Lead team of House Managers and room attendants and maintenance team --- Ensure on-brand and high-quality hotel guest experience --- Ensure property operates in alignment with our brand standards and SOPs --- Create experiences for organic human connection and a sense of belonging for our guests --- Own and troubleshoot any on-property or guest issues --- Recruit, hire, and train house managers and all restaurant FOH employees --- Schedule House Manager and restaurant FOH team efficiently to provide a high-quality guest experience while maintaining appropriate labor costs --- Ensure that costs are being effectively managed to allow the property to be in line with budget and profitability --- Manage operating supplies and liquor inventories --- Manage special projects such as property improvements, special events, menu improvements, etc. --- Collaborate with the F&B team to ensure standards are always being maintained --- Manage VIPs --- Establish and maintain a positive workplace culture and a sense of community Our Ideal Candidate --- Warm, accessible, and genuine who possesses an enthusiasm for hospitality that carries beyond the traditional expectation and into his or her daily responsibilities --- Natural connector who thrives on bringing people together and creating a sense of community --- Has an intimate connection to the locale/community of Life House Berkshires, with a local IG following (preferred) --- Organically creates spaces and experiences that feel personal and unique --- Authentic storyteller who can encourage dialogue, open conversation, and connection --- Open to new perspectives Qualifications --- Min 4 years hotel leadership experience preferred --- Some food & beverage experience preferred --- Previous management experience required --- Excellent leadership and communication skills --- Strong track record of managing controllable expenses, motivating teams, and maintaining exceptional service levels through a keen eye for detail --- Proficient in basic HR functions such as hiring, training, scheduling, etc --- Proficient in basic computer skills such as excel, POS software, PMS software, etc --- Experienced with G-Suite and its various applications (docs, sheets, calendar, etc.) --- Familiar with Asana and Slack (preferred) --- Familiar with Apple products and applications (preferred) Compensation & Benefits --- Competitive salary --- Excellent benefits package --- Opportunity to work in an environment fostering an innovative approach to hotel operations that encourages initiative and leadership --- Working with highly talented people who are extremely passionate about their craft --- Leadership & professional development growth opportunities --- Paid time off & vacation --- Referral program We provide excellent training for our General Managers with our proprietary technology, and we aim in providing our guests with the utmost care and service.
