Job Description:
Overview
This is a key leadership position at CIP's original center location
in Lee, MA (CIP Berkshire). This role oversees student services,
programming quality, and direct support staff training, onboarding,
and orientation for all CIP programs.
Key Objectives
- Primary support for day-to-day service delivery and service
quality
- Assessment and evaluation in order to ensure student success
and growth
- Oversees, develops, and enables direct support staff to deliver
program and service excellence (including ensuring direct support
staff is trained, onboarded, oriented, and ready)
- Ensures appropriate application of organizational tools and
resources in order to achieve programming goals
- Develops relationships with local higher education and
vocational partnerships and alliances, in alignment with academic
and career function especially
- Develops a leadership pipeline at the functional management
level
Standard ActivitiesAdministrative/Management
- Supervises program coordinator staff
- Provides leadership, education and ongoing support to staff,
students, parents, and community partners as needed
- Ensures consistency of programming and procedures with CIP
standards
- Develops staff training activities in conjunction with the
Program Director and National Learning and Development
Director.
- Plans and coordinates student and staff schedules in
conjunction with center Office Manager and Program Director.
- Serves as main point of contact for the center when the Program
Director is unavailable, maintaining a high level of service to
students, parents, and staff
- Ensures that student issues or incident are resolved tactfully
and confidentiallyStudent Services
- Ensure standards and practices that promote excellence in all
programming areas
- Support the Program Director in the resolution of complaints
and/or issues
- Present and train on topics including classroom management,
instructional design and course assessments, or ensure delivery of
the same by other resources
- Recommend and administer policies and procedures for effective
service delivery and staffing structuresOutreach/Marketing
- Assist functions in the development of professional
relationships and community partnerships
- Collaborate with the Program Director on special events
- Prepare for and participate in/on a variety of college and
community committees, workshops, meetings, training sessions, task
forces, and conferences
- Plan, attend, and participate in panels, meetings, conferences
as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Skills, Education and Requirements
- Bachelor in Education, Special Education, Psychology,
Counseling, Social Work, Human Services, or a related Business
field; Master's preferred4+ years of experience working in a
related field and 2+ years of experience in a management
position
- Belief in and knowledge of the potential abilities and skills
of people living with learning and attention differences
- Experience working in private school environments, working with
referral sources, families, and direct services with clients and
students
- Must be able to adjust work schedule as required including
occasional early evenings and occasional weekend day
- 0-25% travel, mostly local
