Employees must reside in, and work from, one of the above approved states.The opportunityThe Assistant Director of Military Education Benefits - Veterans Affairs Processing, will oversee the responsibilities related to the processing and enrollment reporting for Chapter 31, Veteran Readiness & Employment Program-VR&E, for our online and campus student population. You will engage and collaborate with the department and university partners to achieve solutions to improve the military student experience. You will also provide management and oversight of military benefit education specialists following SNHU's core values and are dedicated to meeting the requirements of the University's needs and mission.This is a remote friendly position (#LI-Remote) and you will report to the Director of Military Education Benefits.In this role:

• You will lead important projects to improve the military student experience in processing military benefits.
• You will oversee and maintain the Tungsten Network Portal for VR&E authorization form processing and invoicing.
• You will build relationships and communicate with representatives of the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) daily and guide communication between the VA and SNHU.
• You will oversee training modules for new team members and Compass Learning.
• You will collaborate within the team to improve and design our daily practices.
• You will increase excellence in service through ongoing department support and calibration.
• You will establish, maintain, and advance quality assurance for military benefit processing.
• You will represent the Military Benefit Team in department and university projects to enhance the student experience.
• You will provide direct, open, and honest feedback to promote engagement, collaboration, and communication to increase success.
• You will perform other related responsibilities to support Military Benefits, Student Financial Services, and University goals.What we're looking for:
  • A Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of recent experience in military benefit processing including VR&E Program and the Tungsten Network Portal to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • 2+ years of recent experience with Enrollment Manager, Banner, PowerBI, and Argos reporting platforms.
  • Experience managing a team.

Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
