We are looking for an exceptional Commercial Property Claims Manager to join our team and work in one of offices in Alpharetta (GA), Chicago (IL), Denver (CO), Irvine (CA), Peoria (IL), Portland (OR), New York City (NY), Richmond (VA), San Antonio (TX), San Francisco (CA), Scottsdale (AZ) or Springfield (MA). Our Adjusters and Managers are empowered to exercise their independent discretion and, within broad limits and authority, be creative in developing solutions and treat each case as the unique situation it is. We have a very flat organizational structure, so that our Adjusters and Managers have more opportunities to interact with our senior management team, especially when it comes to presenting case conferencing on large losses. Our entire claims team works in a collaborative nature to expeditiously handle claims.     • Be a technical expert and resource to a team of approximately six Adjusters reporting to you.
    • Provide direction, leadership and training to in-house first party commercial claims adjusters so that the department can meet its Critical Success Goals and the business unit can meet both growth and profitability targets.
    • Support a best-in-class claim management program and recruit and retain claims professionals that consistently demonstrate appropriate technical expertise, maturity and a professional commitment to excellence and customer service.What will you need to be successful here?
      • A minimum of eight years' experience adjudicating first party commercial property and time element claims with extensive experience with exposure of $100,000 or more in both admitted markets but also for excess and surplus lines of business, including at least 3 years in a Claims Supervisory capacity.
        • A relentless desire to continually update your skill level through continuing education and self-development (we're a bit fanatical about this, so you should be too). So you should already have a bachelor's degree.
          • We work in a fast paced environment that is evolving constantly; so flexibility and the ability to thrive in change are important to be successful here. Oh, as is being resourceful on your own.
          • Having the right people in the right roles at all times is probably the most important thing you'll do here. So a strong focus on coaching and developing people so that they realize their full potential, ensuring everyone is on track to meet their goals, and the ability to identify, attract and hire talented people is crucial.
          • With lots of tasks competing for your time, excellent time management and prioritization skills are important.

            • Having industry specific designations is helpful, though not required.
