If this vision excites you, we are seeking a senior leader for our newly formed Technology Business Management (TBM) organization. As the head of the TBM Office, you will be responsible for building and leading a new team accountable for leveraging Apptio and the TBM taxonomy to create transparency to technology spend of over $650M. The leader will be responsible for establishing ongoing processes and governance across the newly combined technology & cx organization to position executives with the knowledge and data to drive business decisions through fact-based tradeoffs of cost, consumption and performance of technology services. RESPONSIBILITIES: Build new organization accountable for maturing TBM processes, streamlining underlying financial & project-code processes, driving cost efficiencies and managing all associated ‘business of IT’ toolsets for total spend of over $650M Assess and streamline current Apptio taxonomy & model, provide thought leadership in advancing current capabilities and subsequent processes Assess current processes for project-code management, applying thought leadership to streamline with industry best practices Standardize, centralize & govern all IT financial processes (expense management, capitalization, project-code creation, etc.) in partnership with IT Finance Streamline & standardize reporting structure for Run, Grow & Transform for total spend of over $650M In partnership with IT Finance, provide reporting for allocating technology spend back to business channels to senior technology & business executives Manage ‘business of IT tools’ including PPM, Troux, Apptio, Jira, etc. Establish strategic plan to leverage TBM methodology to drive transparency to IT spend, establish KPIs to measure, manage TCO, enabling executives to make informed, consumption-based decision making. Lead education and adoption of TBM across senior leaders in both technology and business, assist technology leaders in understanding value of TBM – driving better insights to their spend and sharing with their business leaders Continue to mature consumption-based allocations driving improved decision making and transparency Be a leader of change, requiring tremendous skills to influence, collaborate and lead in a heavily matrixed environment. CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS: 15+ years of IT leadership, business unit, or other functional leadership experience in large corporate environment preferably financial services industry 10+ years of experience managing IT financials of at least $600M of total spend Proven ability to build new teams and processes across large-scale organizations (2,000+ staff) Proven ability to apply financial insights and draw accurate conclusions from financial and other quantitative information. Experience driving transformational change in large-scale organizations Demonstrated commitment to talent development, building strong, diverse teams Innovative problem solver and strategic thinker, strong business acumen and analytical capabilities. Experienced change management capabilities Strong Executive leadership skills; collaborative partner able to influence and drive accountability across organizational and domain boundaries Proven ability to promote ideas and proposals persuasively, shape stakeholders opinions, project a positive image, work through conflicts and negotiate win/win solutions at senior and executive levels Proven experience developing and improving existing processes with desire to influence change across the IT organization through strategic forward thinking Demonstrated leadership in coordinating initiatives across business and organizational boundaries, and building effective cross-functional teams. Excellent communication, presentation, influencing and reasoning skills. Bachelors’ Degree or equivalent work experience Certified Technology Business Management Executive (CTBME) certification preferred Apptio Recognized Technology Business Management (RTBMA) certification a plus Apptio Elite Technology Business Management (ETBMA) certification COMPETENCIES: Business Acumen: Demonstrates knowledge of the interdependencies of key business processes, functions and risks.
