The lead for the Enterprise Tools will manage a team of internal and vendor partners responsible for planning, evaluation, implementation, communication and client training for supporting middleware and enterprise tools. Significant focus will include building and maximizing strong working models with our vendors and the execution of production support responsibilities with a goal toward maximizing efficiencies and providing stable, scalable system availability for our business customers. Coordinate technical studies and evaluation of business area needs and technological alternatives with IT and business area managers. Provide specialized technical support and consultation to client and IT management. Review and recommend technology policy and assists in the systems planning process. Review, evaluate and prepare period performance reports of own staff. Perform related duties as assigned or requested.

Overall Responsibility:


  • Provide day to day leadership of key vendor support and deliverables, supported by defined and tracked metrics.
  • Collaborate, perform and provide leadership to enable the attainment of strategy objectives, including the readiness of the sustaining support organization.
  • Model the behaviors for interactions with key partners across Mass Mutual and set standard for the team to emulate.
  • Establish and enforce repeatable practices for core support functions.
  • Instills and demonstrates a focus on delivery of high quality services as seen through the accuracy, currency and availability of the systems and services within scope of responsibility.
  • Lend skill and expertise to partner teams with focus on continuous improvement.
  • Develop, recruit and train industry knowledge experts to enable support of business applications.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • At least 8 years experience in technical application space
    • At least 6 years experience in a production support role
    • A minimum of 3 years' experience in leading teams that involve oversight of multiple vendor partners, including onshore and offshore arrangements.
    • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
