Assistant Program Manager
We're searching for the Assistant Program Manager who will provide leadership to clinical teams and supervision to licensed clinical staff who work in Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) for Persons in need of psychiatric services. S/he works within the Agency's team model, establishing open communication, support, and accountability among co-workers.
I. AGENCY SERVICES - necessary to meet overall agency goals and provide support to management and program staff. 40-60%


  • provides administrative and clinical supervision to Licensed Clinicians/Team Coordinators, LADC.
  • provides general clinical supervision to all Team staff to ensure clinical protocols and standards are consistently implemented across all disciplines.
  • develops intervention strategies.
  • develops crisis intervention plans.
  • monitors Persons' progress.
  • conducts case reviews.
  • adheres to and ensures compliance with program policies and procedure manual.
  • participates in on-call system to ensure staff coverage, Person coverage and resolve crisis.
  • develops and reviews Persons' treatment plans.
  • interacts with Person in order to assess needs, provide information, discuss problems, and encourage growth and development.
  • provides informal counseling.
  • accompanies Person to medical review or crisis evaluation.
  • intervenes in the event of a Person crisis, suspected illegal activity, or any behavior consisting of an incident in the program to resolve the situation and insure the safety of Persons and others.
  • conducts and participates in CQI activities.
  • develops and monitors Person management systems.
  • recommends discipline and termination of Integrated Team staff; participates in hiring and discipline of Integrated Team staff.
  • participates in program management meetings.
  • delivers services to any Person in program in the event that the assigned staff is unavailable.
  • participates in and helps develop program trainings.

    II. ADMINISTRATIVE/RECORD KEEPING RESPONSIBILITIES - necessary for maximizing department efficiency. 10-20%

    • maintains Person records in accordance with standard format and timetables to include assessment and progress reports and other specialized documentation which is required.
    • maintains personnel records in accordance with standard format and timetables.
    • actively participates in bi-weekly supervisory meeting with Program Manager.
    • conducts regular clinical consultation with treatment teams.
    • conducts regular individual supervision with clinical team members.
    • conducts regular group meetings.
    • attends Individual Service Plan meetings.

      III. COLLATERAL/ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES - necessary to respond to external environment which influences the department. 3-40%

      • works within processes and procedures of referral source.
      • Liaisons with other service providing agencies.
      • strengthens working relationship with significant resources in Person network, e.g. DMH, crisis services, inpatient facilities, work site, family, etc.
      • Able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks assigned due to changing environments.

        IV. COLLATERAL/ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES - necessary to respond to external environment which influences the department. 3-40%

        • works within processes and procedures of referral source.
        • Liaisons with other service providing agencies.
        • strengthens working relationship with significant resources in Person network, e.g. DMH, crisis services, inpatient facilities, work site, family, etc.
        • Able to react to change productively and to handle other tasks assigned due to changing environments.

          V. PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT - necessary to develop to full potential professionally. 5%

          • seeks and uses training opportunities external to the Agency.
          • attends Agency-required trainings.
          • participates in relevant Agency and/or community task forces.
          • engages in self-evaluation to develop professional goals.


            MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

            • Minimum of 3 years' experience working with psychiatric population.
            • Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience.
            • Master's degree in a mental health field from an accredited educational institution.
            • Must be a Licensed Practitioner of the Healing Arts (LPHA), including LICSW, LCSW, LMHC, LADC1, Licensed Rehab Counselor, Physicians, Registered Nurse, Registered Occupational Therapist, and Psychologist.
