The candidate for this critical role also uses critical thinking skills to resolve complex procedural situations & ability to handle emergency high stress situations during high risk procedures. Reviews patients' charts to be alert for contra-indicators or suspected pathologies; verifies type of examination or treatment to be performed, ensures administration of other diagnostic exams or medications will not interfere with nuclear medicine results, and determines appropriate sequence of multiple procedures. Provides direct patient care to neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients. Requirements :Education: Level of knowledge normally acquired through completion of an Associate's degree program in Nuclear Medicine Technology plus three months or less of on-the-job training and orientation.Licensure: Registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in Massachusetts.Certification: A.R.R.T. or NMTCB registration and BLS required.
