Valley Medical Group is seeking a reliable and personable full time Medical Assistant to work in our Northampton Health Center! Position: Medical Assistant Location: Northampton, MA Hours: 32 hours consisting of 8 hour shifts 4 days per week with hours ranging from 7:30am to 6:00pm, Monday through Friday. This position will take part in working an occasional Saturday or Sunday to help cover Urgent Care. Exact schedule to be discussed at the time of the interview.Responsibilities: The candidate will work under the supervision of the Nurse Team Leader, and function as a member of the health care team in the delivery of high quality service. You will assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for preparing patients for the office visit by obtaining accurate vital signs, taking a history, performing medication reconciliation, reviewing allergies and a whole lot more. Qualifications:

• Completed a Medical Assistant program OR
• Experience as a Medical Assistant in a practice setting
• Certification preferred
• EMR experience
• Knowledge and skills necessary to work in ambulatory healthcare setting; provides hands-on experience performing both clinical procedures and administrative procedures in a medical office Valley Medical Group offers:
