CALL.--gpac is working with a reputable school in the Massachusetts
area looking for a Clinical Audiologist. Must reside in the United
States, and have active licensing in Massachusetts.Requirements
- Graduate-level degree in Audiology or equivalent, Doctorate
preferred.
- ASHA certified; licensed in Massachusetts.
- Progress toward Intermediate rating on the SLPI or other
comparable sign language proficiency exam to be evaluated every two
years from hire.Primary Duties
- Examine patients experiencing ear and hearing problems
- Perform and interpret diagnostic using age-appropriate
audiological procedures (eg. conventional, CPA, VRA, DPOAEs) for
both pediatric and geriatric patients
- Assess and monitor the hearing status, use of residual hearing
and use of amplification--
- Develop treatment plans and help patients with aural
rehabilitation
- Develop special audiological procedures to test children who
may be difficult to test.
- Dispense, fit and evaluate the effectiveness of new personal
hearing aids--
- Perform hearing aid consultations, take ear mold impressions,
as necessary, and fit amplification devices following
evidence-based practices including the use of real-ear
measurements
- Counsel and educate patients, families, and others about
hearing loss, treatment options, and proper use of
amplification
- Perform hearing aid services including troubleshooting,
conducting repairs, and cleaning
- Maintain comprehensive records of all services provided
- Follow all medical laws, guidelines, regulations, and
standards
- Maintain ASHA certification and Massachusetts licensure--
- Supervise and evaluate graduate student clinicians upon the
request of the President and CEO and keep written records on the
