Pay Information $2,422 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intermediate Care Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Massachusetts Staffing License required Certifications: ACLS, BLS required Must-Have: Experience with tracheostomies, ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, cardiac drips, BiPAP, and telemetry Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in an Intermediate Care Unit. The unit is a combination of medical-telemetry and step-down care. The unit has a total of 42 beds, with an expected ratio of 1:3 for intermediate care and 1:6 for medical. Common cases managed include pneumonia, COPD exacerbation, diabetic ketoacidosis, hyperosmolar hyperglycemic state, alcohol withdrawal, gastrointestinal bleeding, sepsis, pulmonary embolism, urinary tract infections, and respiratory failure. RNs may float to other units as needed. Candidates should be flexible and willing to work in both medical-telemetry and intermediate care settings. Experience in the specified critical care practices is essential. Holiday coverage may be required.
