Job Description:
Porter Medical Center, a proud member of the University of
Vermont Health Network, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical
Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic team. This position offers the

healthcare institution provides a range of services from emergency
care to cancer treatment. As an LPN at Porter Medical Center, you
will be instrumental in delivering high-standard nursing care,
monitoring patient health, and assisting in the daily clinical
operations in accordance with our mission to enhance the life of
each individual we serve. Provide basic patient care and
treatments, such as dressing wounds, administering medication, and
monitoring vital signs. Assist with patient hygiene, feeding, and
mobility, according to individual care plans. Record patient’s
health status and report any significant changes to the supervising
RN or doctor. Maintain accurate patient records and ensure
confidentiality at all times. Educate and update patients and their
families on treatment plans and preventive care. Participate in
continuous education to improve patient outcomes and personal
skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Highly
organized and detail-oriented. Ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced environment. Critical thinking and problem-solving
skills. Empathetic and compassionate patient care. Required:
Current LPN licensure in the state of Vermont. CPR certification
preferred.
