Job DescriptionThe Impact You Can Make Team ImpactThe ultrasound technologist will work directly with radiologists/cardiologists to perform a variety of ultrasound procedures that require judgment and ingenuity while responding to any of the patient's special, physical, emotional, spiritual and/or age-specific related needs.The Glens Falls Hospital ImpactMissionOur Mission is to improve the health of people in our region by providing access to exceptional, affordable, and patient-centered care every day and in every setting.How You Will Fulfill Your PotentialResponsibilities Performs quality ultrasound exams with the appropriate technical skills and according to the established procedure protocols. Provides for appropriate patient care, safety, education, and an exceptional customer service experience during procedures. Maintains appropriate documentation of patient records Presents appropriate filming and technical findings of ultrasound scans to the radiologist/cardiologist.Education/Accredited Programs Successful completion of an accredited Ultrasound ProgramLicenses/Certifications/Registrations ARDMS or ARRT registered or registry eligible in an Ultrasound discipline (i.e.OB/GYN, ABD, Breast or Cardiac Echo). Eligible candidates must obtain certification within two years of hire date. CPR CertifiedSkills/Abilities Ability to effectively communicate with patients, students, staff, and physicians. Ability to provide excellent customer service to a variety of people. Ability to coach and teach at the adult level. Ability to promote and work in a team setting.
