Job Description:

Seeking an Anesthesiologist to start as soon as credentialed for a full-time hospital-based assignment.

Coverage Details

• Start: ASAP upon credentialing

• Reason for coverage: Open position

• Schedule: Full-time preferred; minimum availability of two weeks per month required

Practice Setting & Scope

• Hospital-based anesthesia services

• 10 operating rooms

• Mix of personally performed cases and CRNA supervision on a daily basis

• MD-to-CRNA ratio: approximately 1:3 4

• Supervision of CRNAs required at times

Case Mix

• Orthopedics

• Urology

• Ophthalmology

• Endoscopy

• Limited pediatric cases (dental and eye only); otherwise primarily adult and geriatric population

Procedures Required

• Spinal anesthesia

• Epidural anesthesia

• Regional anesthesia

Technology

• EMR: Epic

Patient Population

• Primarily geriatric and adult patients

• Limited pediatric cases as noted above

Expenses Covered

• Flight

• Hotel

• Rental car

• (Credentialing and application fees are not reimbursed)

Submission & Credentialing Requirements

• Board Certified Anesthesiologist (required)

• Active New York State medical license at time of submission (required)

• Active BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (required)

• NPDB self-query report pulled within the same month as submission (required)

• Must reside outside a 60-mile radius of the facility (required)

• Willingness to meet conversion fee requirement

• Full-time availability preferred
