Job Description:
The Operating Room First Assistant RN will operate in an expanded perioperative role. The RNFA will perform intraoperative surgical techniques such as providing site exposure, handling/ cutting issue, providing hemostasis, suturing, wound management, and operating surgical/medical instruments and devices. The Registered Nurse First Assistant will also manage perioperative patient care in collaboration with other healthcare providers. The RNFA will also participate in postoperative rounds and assisting in discharge planning.
