Job Description:

RN - to $60/hr This is a unique opportunity for a mission-driven RN to join our team in Holyoke and help make this state-run facility the gold standard for infection prevention. With everything going on externally, this role is a critical player in the leadership and decisions for this team. You'll have a high level of autonomy and unlimited support from high ranking officials to execute whatever programs necessary. This is a full-time, permanent position with typical Mon-Fri hours. Responsibilities: - Monitors, evaluates, plans and implements the facility's Infection Control Program - Supervises/directs nursing supervisors in clinical services surrounding infection prevention. - Assists with direct Veteran care when needed by delivering general age-specific nursing care for adult and geriatric Veterans, with varying degrees of chronic physical disabilities and diseases; as well as psychiatric diagnoses, depression, and various dementia related disorders, to include Alzheimer's disease; with accompanying behavioral issues. - Prepares infection surveillance report and annual reports and presents it to the Infection Control Committee and Administration. - Compiles data and keeps accurate records of all epidemiological programs, surveys, studies and problems and reports results to the Infection Control Committee and Administration. - Develops and revises Infection Control policies with departmental supervisors and helps with implementation. - Ensures compliance with infection control regulations, standards, and guidelines of all regulatory agencies, including the Joint Commission, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), the Department of Veterans Affairs, and all other licensing agencies Requirements: - At least 2+ years of previous RN experience in a hospital or medical facility - Certifications in Infection Control and Epidemiology is preferred, but not mandatory - Worked with a geriatric, veteran, or memory-impaired population in the past - Interested in supporting a mission-driven state-run facility - Available for a full-time, M-F, 8a-4:30p schedule If you'd like to apply, please submit a resume for consideration We are an equal opportunity employer and consider qualified applicants for employment regardless of race, gender, gender identity, gender expression, age, color, religion, disability, veteran's status, sexual orientation, or any other protected factor #pando3-2
