Job Description:
The OpportunityWe are looking for an enthusiastic, organized,
and detail-oriented person to join our Human Resources Operations
Team. The HR Employee Specialist will be required to manage a phone
line and email inbox, support front desk staffing as well as
process administrative tasks taking ownership and utilizing
available resources to effectively respond to customer inquiries
keeping customer satisfaction at the core of every decision and
behavior. The TeamThe HR Employee Services team focuses in
inclusivity; using collaboration to meet the needs of our customer;
the MassMutual employees and retirees! The team demonstrates
agility and resiliency to manage employee interactions with a sense
of urgency and confidentiality. The team is adaptable to an
ever-changing environment wherein there are a variety of topics of
interactions. Accountability for driving solutions leveraging
appropriate resources within and outside of the team is very
important. Additionally, as this is a small team; accountability
and team support is crucial to ensure we have trained backups on
all processes.The Impact:This position will also offer a great
opportunity to learn the full-cycle employee experience including
onboarding, employee record management, process improvement, and
off-boarding including retirement. The HR Operations Specialist
will be friendly, empathetic and helpful, comfortable with handling
highly confidential information and will know how to prioritize
work and understand the balancing act of managing tasks
simultaneously with a willingness to be a self-starter.Some
responsibilities may include but are not limited to the
following:
- Daily phone and email Customer Service schedule
- Rotation of HR Front desk staffing
- Administration of HR Customer Service, Leave and Benefits
including life insurance plans, Workday Navigation, etc
- Benefit Plan Administration including life events
- May Conduct New Hire Orientation
- Vendor Liaisonand issue resolution
- Remain current and prepared on employee issues and
communication reviews
- Ability to shift focus as scope of the role may shift and
evolveThe Minimum Qualifications
- HS diploma or equivalent required
- Prior HR payroll, leave and/or benefits experience
- Prior Customer Service Experience and/or call center
experience
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly in an agile environment
- Self-starter who seeks to go above and beyond
- Strong multitasking and prioritizing ability
- Strong Communications Skills (Verbal and written)
- Able to thrive in collaborative work setting
- Critical thinker with a continuous improvement mindset
- Proficient with MS Office products (Outlook, Excel, Word)The
