JOB SUMMARY: The Software Engineer III primarily works with project teams on developing new software to support strategic initiatives in alignment with business and / or enterprise strategies. We are moving from an on-premise C#/ASP.NET/SQL solution to a modern cloud-based solution, focusing on both Azure and Salesforce applications. This position is for working on developing and supporting our suite of Angular based custom products.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:--- Work with architects and other developers to implement software for strategic projects--- Provide accurate level of effort estimates based on business requirements--- Document development work with appropriate collateral as needed--- Participate in technical design and code reviews to ensure quality and best practices are maintained--- Perform as technical lead on smaller projects, and be a collaborative member on larger projects--- Use the development technology appropriate for the project at hand--- Develop software in a mixed Windows and PaaS type environment--- Work effectively in cross-functional/cross departmental teams.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:--- Coach and mentor junior developers--- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding project status and delivery timeframes--- Fosters innovative team culture and process improvement during development phase--- Working off-hours nights and weekends may be required on occasion for mission-critical needsOTHER DUTIES: This job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred. 5+ years of experience in designing, modifying, writing, and implementing software programming applications; f inancial service industry experience helpful.Experience in Agile and Waterfall methodologiesREST/SOAP web services, C#/C++, .NETExcellent communication/collaboration skillsSQL query optimization skillsJavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3Angular experience requiredSalesforce knowledge preferredExperience with Unit Testing or Testing Standards (preferred).Familiar with software development best practicesWORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical noise levels for an open, cubicle-styled environment.PHYSICAL DEMANDS : This position requires periods of standing, walking, and the use of computer equipment.
