Job Description:
Senior Manager, Web & Mobile Systems
The Senior Manager, Web and Mobile Systems is the IT partner to the
Marketing business unit and the owner of all production technology
solutions that allow consumers to interact through any online
channel. This role provides both day to day operational management
and strategic leadership for all corporate web sites and mobile
apps.
Responsibilities:
Develop products and features for the website and mobile systems
focusing on optimizing and enhancing the consumer experience
Regularly interface with technology partners (including the
Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture teams), Marketing Teams
and Vendors to manage delivery of projects across and production
support of the web and mobile platforms
Execute business strategy by providing representation on
cross-functional teams supporting current and future
initiatives
Be versed in industry trends for the web and mobile space as well
as the quick service restaurant industry trends specific to these
areas
Track and understand the implications of new developments in key
areas such as Apple and Android operating systems, restaurant
websites and mobile apps, and overall technology hardware PCs,
tablets, phones, etc.
Organize and report on consumer and system metrics and behaviors on
the web and through mobile devices/mobile applications to inform
platform management and strategy
Communications to internal stakeholders and management of project
progress
Negotiate Vendor contracts in the best interest of the company and
its Franchisees with clear and quantifiable service levels, clear
monitoring and reporting requirements, and with vendor penalties
for non-performance
Provide support outside of business hours as needed to manage and
facilitate the resolution of key support issues or escalations
Ensure all design and development activities across these platforms
adhere to all industry best practices and regulations related to
data security
Partner with Enterprise Architecture team to support R&D
initiatives that have consumer impact
Primary management accountabilities include:
Assists the Department Manager in the development of department
goals and budgets, and measurement of their results
Able to effectively lead teams of people from a variety of
functional areas to reach common project goals
Select, direct and provide coaching and feedback to the project
team
Responsible for staff hiring, development, training, performance
reviews and retention
Primary project accountabilities include:
Participate in the initiation and planning phases by gathering
project data and requirements and providing input on project
activities and timing
Monitor and report project status to the team, sponsors and
leadership
Utilize project management tools and disciplines to execute project
processes including: risk management, issues resolution, change
management, quality assurance, and document management
Ensure project deliverables are completed with quality, in a timely
manner and within approved budgets
Participate in the evaluation of the project by giving input for
post-project hindsight
Where there is no assigned IT Project Manager, this role has
primary responsibility for the management and overall delivery of
projects
Requirements:
Bachelor s degree with concentration in IT or business
Minimum of 7 years of progressive, relevant IT experience
Minimum of 5 years of website/e-Commerce system design and
implementation experience
Preferred experience in using Day/Adobe CQ Content Management
System
Detailed knowledge of relevant applications and technical platforms
including but not limited to HTML, JavaScript, Linux, Java, CSS,
Apache, web analytics and SEO\SEM
Experience implementing systems and processes, preferably in a
restaurant or retail environment
Experience with Vendor Management and Release Management
Excellent Customer Service Skills and attention to detail
Excellent Time Management Skills
Practical experience in building business and technical
requirements
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to meet common
objectives through teamwork
Excellent verbal, written communications and presentation skills
with an emphasis on being able to present technical topics in an
easy to understand way for non-technical customers.
Strong partnering skills and a service leadership mindset are
required.
Extremely well organized (including good project management skills)
and high attention to detail
