Clean Harbors, a leader in North American environmental and industrial services, is seeking a dedicated Class A OTR (Over the Road) Owner Operator to join our transportation team. This role is vital for the safe and efficient transport of hazardous waste across various regional routes, ensuring our commitment to environment protection and compliance with all regulatory bodies. As an owner-operator, you will be partnering with an industry leader in waste management to facilitate essential services that keep other industries functioning safely and sustainably. Operate Class A heavy-duty trucks over long distances while managing all aspects of vehicle maintenance and compliance. Ensure the safe transport and disposal of hazardous materials in accordance with all government and company regulations. Manage journey logs using electronic logging devices (ELDs) and ensure accurate documentation of work and service. Conduct pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections, and monitor vehicle performance to prevent unplanned downtime. Communicate effectively with dispatch and compliance officers to report issues or accidents and maintain routine correspondence. Provide exceptional service and maintain professionalism with all clients to uphold Clean Harbors' reputation and service commitments. Safe handling and transport of hazardous materials Proficiency in GPS and ELD technology Strong routing ability with time management skills Capability for minor mechanical repairs and routine maintenance Medical Insurance Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A Must own a tandem-axle sleeper, less than 10 years old, compliant with DOT regulations Strong preference for candidates with HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements
