Ryder, a leader in logistics and transport solutions, seeks a detail-oriented Shift Supervisor to oversee operations in our fast-paced facilities. The role requires managing daily workflow, ensuring the safety and efficiency of operations, and leading a team toward meeting the high standards set by Ryder in serving various industries. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive and innovative approach to problem-solving, demonstrating a strong commitment to operational excellence. This position provides an opportunity to work with cross-functional teams and requires a hands-on approach to leadership and supervision within our operational settings. Manage and coordinate daily operations during assigned shifts. Supervise a team of logistics personnel and drivers to achieve performance targets. Enforce safety and compliance standards within the facility and among the fleet. Train new employees and provide ongoing training and support to all staff. Monitor and optimize resource allocation and workflow. Address and resolve issues and conflicts that arise during the shift. Implement strategies to enhance productivity and reduce operational costs. Report key operational metrics and shift summaries to higher management. Strong leadership and team management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Proficient in logistics software and database management Ability to problem-solve under pressure Knowledge of supply chain and fleet management Understanding of safety and compliance regulations in logistics Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Logistics Professional (CLP) is desirable OSHA Safety Certification would be an asset
