WHAT WE OFFER
The primary function of a Line Operator is to produce quality
urethane/Polycarbonate film of various grades, thickness and width.
In this capacity, the Line Operator is responsible for the
operation of a blender, metering system, resin dryer, 4.5"
extruder, take-off tower, die, and film winder.
- starting up and shutting down the equipment;
- keeping the extruder fed with resin mixture by accurately
adding, blending and drying the batch resin components;
- observing and adjusting process parameters to insure proper
film thickness, sheet width, film quality and roll put-up;
- diagnosing, correcting and documenting processing
- recording process and product information, testing samples,
completing order paperwork and packaging rolls;
- making quality judgements about the film produced;
- effecting basic die and extruder maintenance, including
teardown and reassembly of the extruder screw and die;
- working safely with cutting tools and wearing of the proper
personal protective equipment;
- and finally maintaining good interaction and teamwork with his
supervisor and co-workers.
A line operator must physically be able to routinely lift and
carry up to 50 pounds of weight, climb stairs, lift and pull 10
pounds of weight in the overhead position, stoop and bend at the
knees and waist. A line operator must also have the physical
stamina to be able to consistently perform any of the above
physical functions at least 25 times per 8-hour day. Line Operators
must be capable of working 4 to 8 hours of overtime per week when
necessary. In addition he must be able to withstand a working
- ambient room temperatures approach 100 degrees in humid summer
- noise approaches 80 dB;
- some confined spaces exist; and
- numerous hot surfaces exist.
This is a 12 hour night shift
WHAT YOU OFFER
