Job Summary:Supports the daily activities/processes in the Customer Service department following operating procedures or other generally accepted guidelines. The incumbent must be a team player, willing to do what needs to be done for the overall good of the company; may include additional duties/responsibilities as needed or requested which are not stated in this job description.Job Responsibilities: Develop, maintain and promote a pleasant and professional relationship with all internal and external customers. Contact each account to obtain orders for delivery. Continuously ensure that all customers are being called on a timely manner and that all deadlines are met. 165 calls daily balance, extract, specials, potentials, complaints with minimal errors Maintain accurate customer file with deliveries, telephone numbers and time of calls. Supply sales, Shipping, marketing, production and distribution with pertinent and accurate information concerning customer activity (sales, special events, large orders etc.) Knowledge of product line in all locations Arrange for proper handling of all customer requests and complaints (special deliveries, off day deliveries, etc) Must be accurate in keypunching orders and concentration to ensure proper load dates and delivery dates are used. Develop excellent communication skills with co-workers to ensure all necessary people are aware of delivery, load and customer changes. Introduce new product when they are added to the line ensure accounts order accordingly for holidays, snow storms and closings. Must have the ability to Up-Sell items to new and established customers. Calling late routes and taking initiative. Faxing and internet ordering Liaison for locations Distros, Priority Customers, At least 1 year of service cannot be on any written warnings Job Qualifications: High school diploma or the equivalent required. 3 -5 years customer service experience. Strong computer skills with experience in MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Must be able to do data entry with accuracy. Effective, courteous communication skills are critical Must be organized with great attention to detail Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment with extensive use of computer and phone.
