We're searching for a self-directed and motivated candidate with a proficient background in HMDA reporting and Quality Control. This individual will use their hands-on expertise and acute attention to detail to perform timely quality control reviews to ensure accurate HMDA reporting.Candidates should have at least a High School diploma or equivalent, while an Associates degree is preferred. Salary Range: Min: $38,400 / Mid: $48,004 / Max: $57,606

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Reviews loan documents, LOS information and the HMDA LAR to perform comprehensive HMDA quality control on all originated and non-originated Residential and Commercial loans to ensure compliance with all HMDA requirements.
  • Reviews and ensures accuracy of information found on the HMDA Monitoring Summary provided by Compliance. Updates/corrects HMDA data points within LOS system for all identified errors to ensure accurate reporting to the LAR. Responsible for exporting the data in a timely manner to Compliance.
  • Maintains a log of all identified errors to identify patterns/trends. Shares and reports on log with department members and management on regular basis.
  • Works with Compliance to prepare the HMDA LAR for the timely annual submission to the CFPB.
  • Collaborates with Compliance to assist with implementation and guidance of HMDA reporting requirements, to include facilitating process improvements, preparing and presenting of training materials to staff.
  • Remains up to date on HMDA requirements and current related issues by maintaining reference materials and website links, and attending job-specific training classes. Complete annual training as assigned.
  • Responsible for building long-lasting relationships with customers, community and colleagues through the embodiment of our Core Values: Integrity, Service, Teamwork, Excellence and Prosperity.

    Knowledge and Skills
    • Able to work independently, interpreting ideas and facts, while being able to analyze and interpret federal and state laws and/or regulations.
    • Displays strong customer service skills and strong verbal and numerical aptitudes.
    • Demonstrates strong written communication skills and an ability to make effective presentations in a group setting.
    • Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to utilize information from multiple spreadsheets and systems simultaneously.
    • Basic knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Word.
    • Advanced knowledge of HMDA Regulations and residential/consumer lending.
      Education and Work Experience
      • A High School diploma or equivalent is required, while an Associates Degree is preferred.
      • A minimum of three years of HMDA and Retail Lending experience is strongly preferred.
