MassachusettsJob SummaryThe MRO Buyer-Scheduler Coordinator task of
this job description provides purchasing support and accurate
record keeping for a successful and secure maintenance inventory
parts. Responsible for the procurement, execution of goods and
services for maintenance and operations. Ensure that items or
services delivered within time frame to support operations and
acceptable inventory levels. The MRO Buyer-Scheduler Coordinator
task will partner with maintenance planners to optimize the
workforce productivity and work quality by eliminating potential
delays and obstacles through proper planning, scheduling and
coordination of parts, and materials. They will prepare reports,
metrics, and other tracking tools that will allow the maintenance
department to be successful. Position will be responsible for
sustaining parts issuing CMMS systems.Responsibilities:The MRO
Buyer-Scheduler Coordinator, under general supervision, is
responsible for carrying out functions related to purchasing,
receiving, issuing, storing, inventorying, and security of
supplies, materials and equipment maintained in the storehouse,
working directly with maintenance planners to assure parts
availability, in addition to working with Accounts payable on all
open invoices, coordinating with leadership team outstanding
invoices.Primary Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage all aspects of
purchasing, receiving, and distribution / issuing accuracy.Ensure
accurate parts inventory through cycle counts.Update and Maintain
record keeping software including the addition and removal of new
and existing equipment and suppliers.Execute annual review and
update of min max requirements.Track and report Maintenance parts
usage/issues, correlating with cycle countsMaintain receiving parts
room inventory and cleanliness in accordance too 5S standard
work.Develop effective relationships with suppliers
(internal/external) to facilitate business transactions.Maintain
and apply knowledge of current policies, regulations, ensure that
activities and protocols for purchasing and receiving items are
appropriately administered across functions.Understands and adheres
to all MTI purchasing policiesWith the use of the CMMS, responsible
for the partnering with the maintenance planning and scheduling
teams, supporting adhering to scheduled maintenance.Maintains
necessary records and files and prepares and distributes meaningful
and accurate control reports.Provide input to management and
suggest improvements for efficiency.Demonstrates good leadership,
analytical and planning/organizational skills.Manages oil
inventory, maintaining recordsAssists all personnel in locating
items in storageProvides monthly reports on slow moving parts,
including parts ordered for projects not executedOperate fork truck
to unload and move pallets of materialShip items via FedEx and
UPSSchedule deliveries to plantReceive all raw materials when it
arrives and is released by QualityWork with Accounts payable
department on vendor payment issues.Provide weekly report on all
open invoices.OE/LeanActively participates in the implementation of
sustainable improvement processes, such as 5S, Kaizen, Total
Productive Maintenance (TPM), Daily Management Control, Standard
Work and Problem Solving.Other Duties & ResponsibilitiesPurchase
miscellaneous items for the plant.Inspect containment areas.Other

Hours:The schedule is typically the day shift. However, employee

Conditions: Incumbent must possess a high school diploma or
equivalent and should be proficient in computer applications. While
performing the duties of this job, an employee is typically
required to have the ability to exert physical strength, coordinate

mobile equipment, regularly stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, reach,
crouch, kneel, lift, twist, push and pull throughout a work shift,
work in confined spaces, have manual dexterity, lift materials
weighing up to and including 50 pounds, select and use appropriate
equipment/tools to accomplish job duties, read, write, listen,
speak and understand English, follow all instructions and other
oral/written information, visually inspect equipment/work area,
complete paperwork and other documentation accurately, identify,
analyze, troubleshoot and solve issues using judgment, react
quickly as needed, be organized and detail oriented, be able to
identify/judge the urgency of a situation, use judgment in decision
making, communicate effectively with others, be aware of oneself in
relation to surrounding equipment, work independently and as a team
with others. Ability to instruct/transfer job information/knowledge
to others and lift between 50 and 100 pounds is preferred.There is
exposure to plant production areas, which may include exposure to
outside weather conditions as well as loud noise from equipment and
dust from production processes. Exposure to plant areas requires
the use of appropriate safety equipment. Personal protective
equipment is available for employee use in these circumstances.The
employee is expected to be self-directed, take initiative and be
persistent when appropriate to accomplish necessary duties and keep
busy without prompting. Additionally, the employee is expected to
be adaptable/flexible to changing work assignments, have a high
level of integrity, dependability and self control to maintain
composure, perform multiple tasks at once, learn and memorize
procedures, manage time effectively and efficiently, meet
established deadlines, display a cooperative attitude, read,
understand and follow all company, job specific and safety
policies/procedures, and attend/use all required training. Ability
to travel is preferred.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Must have
knowledge of the English language, modes of transportation,
clerical procedures, and transportation regulations including but
not limited to hazardous materials shipping requirements.Safety
Training: A new employee hired to perform the duties of this
position is to be provided New Employee Training from a qualified
individual, which consists of classroom training and may include a
tour of plant area(s). Additional refresher safety training will be
required as management deems appropriate and/or as dictated by MSHA
