JOB SUMMARY: This position will actively interface with senior leadership team driving complex end-to-end technical
solutions and how design impacts architecture delivery. The Cloud Systems Architect position focusing on cloud native solutions to enable Farm Credit Agricultural Associations (ACA) to do business. This position will be involved with researching new technology partners and solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
--- Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new cloud systems
--- Use tools and methodologies to create representations for functions and user interface of desired product
--- Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility
--- Maintains a deep understanding of system development in cloud environments
--- Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team
--- Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design
--- Designs and implements the secure integration of enterprise platforms
--- Works with business executives and end-users to conceptualize a new project, recommend technical resources and strategies, and designs the cloud-based architecture requirements for the project.

ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
--- Identify and/or evaluate emerging technologies that would enhance or compete with the Company's products.
QUALIFICATIONS:
--- BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of experience; advanced degree in computer science/engineering preferred.
--- 5+ years of experience in Design and Development of large N Tier Business Applications in leading development technologies using various languages
--- Knowledge of architectural styles and design patterns
--- Expertise in Cloud Computing
--- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes
--- Experience with API design and development.
--- Ability to operate at highly varying levels of abstraction including business strategy, product strategy, technical design and implementation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Typical noise levels for an open, cubicle-styled environment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS : This position requires periods of s tanding, walking, and the use of computer equipment. Additional physical demands include, but may not be limited to, talking or hearing, push/pull, stooping, kneeling, reaching w/hands and arms, and lifting at least 10 pounds.
