If this sounds like a fit, we re looking to hire a Technical Communications Consultant to join our Enterprise Technology and Experience (ETX) Enablement and Engagement team. Why we need you. As a Technical Communications Consultant, you ll have the opportunity to will drive communications across ETX, focusing efforts in alignment with ETX s strategic objectives: driving cost efficiency, digital adoption, and value to the company. In this role, as well as all roles within MassMutual, you will demonstrate accountability, agility, a dedication to be inclusive, a strong business acumen, and will show courage, even in the most difficult situations. What success looks like. * Working closely with business partners across the organization to identify communication needs and then bring solutions to life using traditional and emerging media tactics (e.g., written, visual, video, etc.). * Bringing ETX together as one, cohesive and inclusive organization by utilizing the ETX Newsletter, portal, and events. * Using business and technology acumen to transform information into a consumable, audience-friendly form whether it is an article, video, podcast, event or other communication. What your days and weeks will include. * Driving communication and engagement across ETX with the ETX Newsletter, portal, and events including Senior Leadership Team (SLT) level presentations. * Collaborating with Strategic Communications at corporate level and other business partners to meet all ETX communications needs, using strong communications and influencing skills as needed. * Targeting communications to address need of coming together as one ETX organization, celebrating our cross-collaboration, the work we do, and who we are. * Engaging with SLT members and other leaders to encourage participation in panel discussions, portal posts, and podcasts. * Contributing to the planning and management of key meetings and special events, including preparation of agendas, talking points and presentations. * Adjusting approach based on changing needs in ETX to provide the most value in our services. * Leading or supporting various ETX-wide projects, working with teams such as Diversity & Inclusion and Cultural Integration. * Delivering communications in a creative, consumable, and attractive format to meet readability expectations. * Writing engaging articles and memos clearly and concisely on various business topics and technical initiatives. * Actively participating in editorial meetings and internal communications strategy sessions. * Serving as the key communication partner across ETX, providing counsel and ensuring consistency and quality of communications. * Engaging in data-driven analysis of communications effectiveness and lead team to adapt/respond to findings. * Participating on cross-functional project teams as needed/required. The skills that make you a great fit. * **Experience in technology environment to translate technical terminology to common language for audience-friendly content**. * 8+ year of communications experience (writing and presenting) with at least 5 years specific to internal/employee communications. * 5+ years of event planning experience for large groups of 100+. * 8+ years developing presentations, newsletters, and other communications in an attractive, consumable format for various audiences. * 3+ years using video communications. * Strong writing, editing and verbal communication skills with demonstrated ability to be clear and concise on a variety of complex business topics. * Exceptional at collaborating with and influencing others at all levels of the organization. * Strong time management skills, working with a sense of urgency, responsiveness, and competing priorities to meet the expectations of various internal customers. * Effective working independently for extended periods of time when writing articles and planning events. * Openness to feedback on what works well and where there are opportunities to improve to provide the best product and service to our internal customers. * Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.
