Job Description:

Financial Analysis and Report Development
Interprets financial, accounting and contractual information to ensure accurate reporting and accounting of provider risk pool.
Presents data driven financial information and analysis to stakeholders to assist in the development of financial trends, value based contract analysis, and trends in underwriting and in premium analysis.
Identifies areas of opportunity to enhance financial processes.
Develops and implements advanced queries in Excel, Access, and SQL.
Resource for other members of the department/division on data based business processes and resources.
Evaluates/Researches departmental data needs by engaging stakeholders. Identifies inefficiencies/waste, risks, and key person dependencies.
Takes a holistic approach to project management by creating CBA's (Cost Benefit Analysis), requirements, technical maintenance documentation, project plans and other relatable SDLC documents.
Ad-hoc Analysis and Finance Support
Works in partnership with the finance business areas to create comprehensive documentation, training, and key dependencies.
Reports out to stakeholders and leadership on project status outcomes and improvements.
Provides ad-hoc reporting and analysis for financial, governmental, pharmacy, underwriting and administrative data used in strategic decision-making.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or a related field and more than 5 years of financial or analytical experience preferably in an HMO, insurance or healthcare environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience with data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
Experience with both financial and clinical data, and the complexities of models for various types of provider risk contracts
Strong analysis, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
Advanced MS Access, Excel, and SQL
Knowledge in VBA, SQL, SAS, dashboard applications such as Power BI or Tableau is preferred
Effective at managing competing priorities and ability to work independently with little oversight or as part of a team when needed
Experience with risk adjusting concepts
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Highly self-motivated and directed
Excellent ability to plan, organize, present ideas to groups
Ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with various HNE Stakeholders
