As a member of the Cartamundi East Longmeadow Management Team, the Director Commercial Services - Board & Card Games North America will be responsible for leading the sales and account management team in the development and execution of the present and future marketing and sales strategy for Board and Card Games, driving revenue and profitable growth to the Cartamundi East Longmeadow operations. The Director, Commercial Services - Board & Card Games North America will interface internally with various teams including the East Longmeadow Management Team, international Marketing and Sales teams to ensure customer and channel alignment, Operations and Administrative Leaders across all North American locations, and the Global management teams. The Director, Commercial Services - Board & Card Games North America will interface externally with customers (both existing and future/prospects), channel industry experts, and innovation leaders in order to fully understand future markets.

What you'll do as a Director Commercial Services:

  • Partner with site Management Team to lead the board and card game business strategy focused on profitability, market growth, and the development of people
  • Develop and implement the Board and Card Games channel marketing, business development and sales strategy in collaboration with the global company strategy that supports substantial growth in margin, revenue, and customer base
  • Utilizing respectful leadership practices, directly lead, foster, and mentor a high performing business development and sales team focused on researching objectives while maintaining long-term relationships
  • Develop and lead an account management process that ensures customer excellence from first meeting through final product shipment
  • Collaborate with creative teams and provide leadership based on the needs of the customer towards design and delivery
  • Partner with customers in the development of their product development strategy including creative and innovative ideas that support being the market leader
  • In partnership with internal business partners, manage the North American revenue stream and margin to achieve commercial targets
  • Lead the present and future state readiness for sales and marketing, emerging industry trends, and customer needs to support marketplace competitiveness
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts and best practices in the sales management process
  • Attend meetings as required both domestically and internationally
    We're looking for a Director Commercial Services with:
    • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Economics, Finance, or other related technical degree from a regionally accredited college or university; MBA preferred
    • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive sales, account management, and/or business development leadership roles with proven results in the delivery of strategic marketing plans and executing aggressive sales targets of $100M - $300M annually in a manufacturing company
    • Prior supervisory experience with direct oversight and professional development of internal and external sales/account management/business development staff required
    • Demonstrated excellence implementing best practices in the business development and sales management process required
    • Exceptional negotiation skills required
    • Demonstrated strong understanding of sales contracts and deliverables required
    • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales and business expectations while exhibiting the highest business ethics at all times
    • Strong business acumen
    • Demonstrated tech savvy and experience with one or more Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software or Software as a Service (SaaS) required
    • Minimum of Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
    • Experience with SAP preferred
    • Experience/business connections in the playing cards, board game, or packaging industries preferred
    • International sales experience preferred
    • Strong team focus with proven ability to build, coach, and inspire teams to meet or exceed expectations highly preferred

        Physical requirements and working conditions:

        Our manufacturing Plant is comprised of enclosed office and manufacturing space. This position requires the ability to:
        • Move throughout the entire facility to attend to various issues
        • Work effectively in teams across functional groups with strong communication skills and the ability to lead
        • Perform sedentary work on various computer systems
        • This Director Commercial Services position is located at our East Longmeadow, MA facility (on-site preferred; hybrid schedule available)
        • Domestic travel up to 50%+, international travel up to 10%
