Clean Harbors is seeking a dedicated CDL Driver - Environmental Field Chemist who plays a vital role in ensuring the safe and compliant handling and transportation of hazardous materials, while also conducting chemical analysis in field settings. This unique position combines skills in chemistry and driving large vehicles, providing critical services that adhere to our mission of improving sustainability and environmental safety across North America. This role requires a disciplined approach to adhere to environmental laws and company procedures, making a significant impact on our environmental footprint. Safely transport hazardous and non-hazardous waste while operating a Class A or B Commercial Vehicle Perform chemical analysis of materials at various field locations using qualitative and quantitative techniques. Preparing waste drums for transportation including labeling, marking and loading Completion of detailed documentation and logs including manifest and bill of lading Cooperate with team members and compliance departments to ensure full compliance with all environmental regulations Participate in training and emergency response drills particularly in handling spills Ability to operate Class A or B commercial vehicles Knowledge of basic chemistry and chemical handling safety Experience in GPS navigation systems and electronic log devices Physical stamina and strength to manage equipment and waste materials safely Excellent communication and documentation skill Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Hazardous Material Endorsement DOT Physical Exam Certificate 40-hour HAZWOPER certification (Highly advantageous if already obtained)
